Gidday Everyone from Bill Udo Kurk and Ray,

Thank you we got some interesting responses to my email sent last month about your intentions for Gold prospecting in 2025.

I will try to answer some of the queries in a broad fashion in the next few newsletters. I have already responded to most of your emails, thank you.

We have seen and heard anecdotally that there is a lot of people coming or already on their way to WA to go gold prospecting.

Preparation for 2025 Prospecting Season

I've been getting my caravan done up, ready for the big prospecting season. I needed to get some new batteries as well as a regular servicing.

To get my batteries I went down to Powerhouse Batteries and Linda helped me, I want to give her a shout out.

She looked after me and got me two 6-volt batteries that were very hard to source, especially the ones that fit in the caravan.

While I was there, I also went to Maclecs Autos, where Keith, an auto electrician, installed those batteries for me.

If you are ever up this way up north of Perth, Butler, go down to Ainsbury Loop where Maclecs Autos and Powerhouse Batteries are located. Talk to Linda at Powerhouse or Keith at Maclecs, they'll look after you. They really looked after me.

Is the Minelab GPX 4500 a Good Detector

While I was at Maclecs Auto Electrics, I was talking to Keith.

He has done a little bit of prospecting in the past as a newbie.

He hired a GPX 4500 a while ago, went up north towards Payne's Find and dug a great big hole in the ground, probably a half meter deep, and it ended up being a bullet.

It was in a creek.

Experienced prospectors know that there's a lot of stuff in creeks that gets buried deep, and a lot of that is rubbish.

But that doesn't mean there's no gold there because I also know somebody who found a five-ounce lump in a creek, probably someone walked over and said, oh, that's just rubbish and left it.

MORAL of the Story - DIG EVERY TARGET - DONT GUESS

What Detector WILL Find you Gold in WA

So First things First - Make sure you have a good PI (Pulse Induction) Metal Detector when you go prospecting in WA.

I wrote an Ebook about the Best Detectors to find Gold One of the things you've really got to do when you're prospecting is make sure you've got the right detector.

These days it's getting a little bit (a bloody LOT) harder to find gold.

There's still plenty of gold there, but unless you're getting out beyond where people don't go, it's the smaller and harder to find gold that you are targetting.

I've written a EBook on metal detecting the best metal detectors to use in WA. So that's free for you guys, just grab it and download it. Click on the Image below to access the EBook page.

When you go gold prospecting in WA, make sure that you use the right detector to get the gold that you want.

There is still plenty of gold there, but it's a lot easier to find if you've got the right detector.

The right detector depends on how much you're prepared to spend, whether you're going to do it permanently or just for fun, and where you are going. I have explained all this in the Ebook

If you're going gold prospecting in West Australia, the ground is hot, and you need to use the right detectors.

But if you go metal detecting in WA with the right detector, you will still find gold.

I still target between one and two grams a day when I go, and I get that all the time.

If you are finding two grams these days doesn't take that long to find yourself an ounce, and of course, an ounce is worth four thousand dollars.

Just a gram of gold is worth 150 dollars and will keep going up due to the new President of the USA - people will want to put money in a safe haven or something that has REAL value like Gold.

I've gone through all the pros and cons of everything you need to know about how to choose a detector for the WA gold fields. I hope you enjoy the book and I hope you find plenty of gold when you go out there.
